Daily Physical Activity started our day today. We then talked about Viola Desmond and her being selected to be the first women on the ten dollar bill.We then watched a Ted talk by Linda Liukas on computers. Ted Talk Linda Liukas We then did an exercise on giving commands to a computer from her book called Hello Ruby: Adventures in Coding. Students had to write commands to give a computer for eating breakfast. They then had to write another set of commands for making their bed or setting the dinner table. (due tomorrow) We then discussed and voted to hold off starting our next read aloud until January. It will be Wonder and then we will go to the movie release next April. After recess, we had the Math4today test and the kids worked on their Albanesi cards. After lunch, we had our first Sparkles the Elf class with Division 11. When we returned to class and we did a quick practice of our Ötzi song before the kids headed off to French class to end their day.
