Yesterday afternoon notices went home about helping our Christmas Families and the Surrey Food Bank, another about Purdy’s Fundraising orders and one about the start of the Scholastic Book Fair in the library.
There are still several students that have not returned the lunch notice from the intermediate staff and Mr. Morrison last week. Please ensure that you discuss the importance of eating a healthy lunch with your child and return the form, signed, to the school. Thanks!
Circle of Power and Respect started our day today. We then did a couple of fun math problems. (See below) Students then did Math4today and worked on their Albanesi cards. Read aloud was before recess. After recess, we did a desk shift and then we did a Case of Red Herrings. In PhE, we played bean bag helping tag. There were a lot of variations. After lunch, the students had time to work on their notes for Ancient Egypt. (Several students have “lost” their notes and are starting over. My concern is that is two class periods of work “lost.”) We ended the day with another wonder group researching and presenting, while the others worked on the two writing prompts and making words from the Hawaiian alphabet. (One student was at 70 words when I checked in this afternoon.)
