Circle of Power and Respect started our day today. (CPR) We interrupted CPR so that I could talk to them about “7-Up.” We looked at some sentence examples that had only four or five words in them and some that had seven or more (7-Up.) The ones with more words had more description in them. I then handed out the Skittles to encourage writing and students set about writing sentences with seven or more words about themselves. We all shared our sentences before and after recess. After recess, we read an article from Wonderopolis on “Why we have rules.” After lunch, students discussed with a partner and then the whole class had a discussion about their answers to the rules questions. We then played addition battle math game before I shared a letter that went home today. We ended the day with playground practice.
