Our class meeting started our day today. We then discussed the emergency release drill from Friday. The students made some suggestions or passed along ones from their parents. Students then had to answer a question about emergencies and how they would handle them if they were alone or in a group. We then had the pond (aquarium with pond water arrive in the classroom.) After recess, we had a FANTASTIC presentation from the Friends of Semiahmoo Bay Society. It ran a little bit into our lunch hour but it was worth it. Not only did the kids learn about some of the pond life they actually got to take a closer look at it. We are very lucky as the pond will be with us for the next two weeks. After lunch, we had the first of our five dance instruction time. Please join us on Friday at 1:30 for our final presentation. We ended the day with the grade fours working on area, the fives using nets to create solid shapes and the sixes working with the Georeflector Mirrors.
