DPA and CPR started our day today. I then announced the math test for Tuesday and suggested ways for each grade to study. (Grade 4’s- time, time intervals, and writing dates; Grade 5- perimeter and area; Grade 6- angles:identifying, measuring, and drawing- triangles-identifying, drawing.) Read aloud was before recess. After recess, we talked about the Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees for both official languages of Canada. We then talked about languages and watched the video about the teenage boy that speaks over 20 languages. (link below!) The discussion turned to names and how we got our names. Students shared (if they knew) why they are named the name that they have. (Tomorrow we will hear from the rest of the class about their names and we will also hear about how they received their middle names.) After lunch, the students did more research for their passion projects. The students ended their day in French class.
