DPA and our appreciation circle started the day today. We then read about the life and times of Antonio Vivaldi. We did this ahead of our visual arts activity in the afternoon. Students then had time to work on their Secret Knowledge of Grown-ups pages. (We have three good copies up already, twenty-six to go!) Read aloud was before recess. After recess, in Buddies, we read a picture book entitled Sadako’s Cranes. We then set about making our own peace cranes. After lunch, we started to listen to the Four Seasons by Vivaldi. The kids voted to have the music play and they would guess what season it was and draw a picture to go with what they were feeling when they heard the music. We then returned to the library to finish making our cranes that we started this morning. Picture below. We ended the day finishing listening and drawing to the final two seasons. We will put the finishing touches on them on Monday.
