DPA and CPR started our day today. In Language Arts, we decided on a charity for donations that we receive on Friday and then we started a look at paraphrasing. Read along was before recess. After recess, we reviewed the answers to questions one and two from the bear adaptations sheet and then we did question 3 together as a class. (If they did not finish then question 4 and 5 are for homework.) After lunch, the grade fours and fives looked at sequences and the sixes with direct patterns. We ended the day looking at the story the Bloom of Friendship which starts out by talking about the German invasion of the Netherlands in 1940. Students will be doing a non-fiction four square sheet to go with the story. We will continue the story next class.
