Remember: bring your swim suit and towel as we are off to the pool tomorrow! Some sun screen might be helpful too!
DPA and our class meeting started the day today. The students then had time to work on their probability games. Read aloud was before recess. After recess, we continued with our reading about First Nations self government, the treatment that they received and the lack of treaties in British Columbia. Students then received an outline for their final socials project for the year. We are looking at part one which they have nine words to write definitions for and a paragraph on native self government. The third part is a comparison of the Aboriginal government to BC government that we will do together in class. The due date for this assignment is Tuesday, June 16. There is also a bonus assignment on the back! After lunch, there was a fire drill and the students had French class. We ended the day with students having time to work on their travel brochures for their setting of their independent novel study.
