We started the day going over what makes a good paragraph. Students should then be writing a paragraph about their favourite dessert. Students then received their personal writing back and then completed a self evaluation of their writing. When the students returned their writing we discussed their evaluation vs my evaluation of their writing. Some students were busy working on their poetry quilt pages that were due today. Read aloud was before recess. After recess, we did some drills outside but the kids were complaining that it was too hot so we came back inside and played ultimate in the gym. After lunch the students had time to work on their probability assignment. (Due June 2). In discussion with the kids I gave several reminder to keep the game simple as they have to write about the probability. We ended the day reading about First Nations treatment by the Canadian Government in regard to treaties and residential schools. We will continue with this tomorrow.
