We started today looking at hexaduads, similies and metaphors. Students then set about starting to write their own that will be due on Friday. (hexaduad x 1, similies and metaphors x 2) We also did a read through of the play with the music that will be used with the play. Read aloud was before recess. After recess, we did some running and then learned the dance steps for a song we will be teaching to our buddies. In HACE, we started a look at emotions. After lunch, the grade fours worked with tenths and hundredths, the fives with fractions and decimals and the sixes with the percentage of a number. We ended the day with time to work on science projects or research for their explorers journal.
