A Case of Red Herrings started our day. The students were then off to book exchange and returned to class for silent reading. Many students did not have their literature circle roles completed so we reviewed what was to be done and then students were given time to complete them. They also wrote out three titles of books that they hope to get for the first round of literature circles. Read aloud was before recess. After recess, we had a visit from Mr. Morrison and the kids had an opportunity to ask him a few questions, we then had an evacuation drill and then I discussed encouragement speeches with the students. They will get their first student’s name on Monday. After lunch, we had our first of three drama sessions.
