DPA and CPR started our day today. We then started our look at the Reading Eight Sheet. (This will be a sheet the students will have needed to do some reading for and then respond to the seven boxes on the sheet. Their first sheet will be due on Friday, November 2.) We read the story Proud as a Peacock, Brave as a Lion and then started responding. We will finish this sheet on Thursday. Read aloud was before recess. After recess, the students had test 4 of the Math4today. Then some students used the numbers to write expanded notation. (10 for the 4’s,20 for the 5’s and 30 for the 60’s) Other students started to make up word problems with the information from the A Million Dots story. After lunch, we started doing some note taking ahead of our endangered species project. We will do a class project on leatherback sea turtles and then students will be assigned an individual project. We then switched gears and finished off the producers and consumers table from yesterday and answering the deer scenario questions. If not finished this will be due on Thursday.
