French started the day today. The sevens were then off to band and the fives and sixes looked at a couple of pictures by M. C. Escher and then worked on their own tessellation picture due next Friday. After recess, we continued our look at at bucket dippng in all its various forms. We then had a little time for a couple of rounds of who has the biggest number? After lunch, we had Fitness Friday and then the students worked on their Friday activities. The students should have their weekly reflections signed for Monday.

PE started our day today. We played basketball; from there it was on to French and then book exchange and silent reading. After recess, the students wrote their math chapter test. After lunch, in Buddies, we heard the story of Grandfather Tang and then did a math lesson using tangrams and then the students completed an animal picture using tangram pieces.

DPA started our day today. The sevens were then off to write another section of the FSA and fives and sixes had self selected work time. After recess, was our second round of literature circles. After lunch, the sevens were off to band and the fives and sixes had self selected work time. We ended the day with self selected work time.
Reminder all grades math test tomorrow and sevens have their final socials assignment due tomorrow.

DPA and CPR started our day today. The sevens then had self selected work time….the fives and sixes then went heard the legend Storm Boy and reviewed the criteria for the Native Legends project that will be due on February 16. After recess, the fives and sixes had self selected work time and the sevens worked on their first chemistry experiment, baking. After lunch, the sevens had self selected work time and the fives and sixes worked on part two of their static electricity experiments. We ended the day with self selected work time.

We started today reading The Great Race, I know I have read it in years past but it still a great book to explain the Chinese Zodiak. Afterwards, we looked at a new punctuation puzzle for the weekly review in Language Arts. Students then received their new math weekly activities. All grades have their test on Thursday. We will go over a new socials unit for the fives and sixes tomorrow and the sevens will receive theirs shortly after. Science will also be done in-class tomorrow. After recess, the students had self selected work time. After lunch, the sevens were off to the first part of their FSA’s and the fives and sixes had PE, where they played basketball. We ended the day with self selected work time. A work time that was not very well utilized by many of the students.

French started the day today. The sevens were off to band and the fives and sixes worked on another anti-colouring page. After recess, the students played a math game called Prime or Composite. After lunch, we had Fitness Friday and appreciation circle. We ended the completing weekly reflections and doing Friday activity.

PE started our day today and we played pasketball. French, book exchange and silent reading were up next. After recess, was self selected work time. After lunch, we had a presentation in the gym. The HACE, TV assignment, and the Friendship booklets were also collected at the end of the day.

The day plan was as follows…
DPA and CPR to start the day. It was then off to the lab again for more socials research. Read aloud before recess. After recess, was round one of our literature circles. The report back was that the Stormbreaker group was outstanding. After lunch, the fives and sixes worked on a static electricity experiment and the sevens were off to band. (We will do part b early next week for the static electricity experiment.) The day ended with self selected work time.

DPA and CPR started the day. The students then had time in the lab to work on their socials… ancient Egypt wrap-up for the sevens and research on an explorer to the Pacific Northwest for the fives and sixes. Read aloud before recess. Self selected work time for the remainder of the day.

An assembly started the day today. After we had an in-class discussion about how we travel in the halls. We then had some self selected work time ahead of read aloud. After recess, we had another self selected work time. After lunch was PE and the day ended with more self selected work time.
